We’re looking for a 40 DevOps Engineers to join a major transformation programme modernising a legacy mainframe system into a cloud-native data platform. This platform will unlock new capabilities, improve data accessibility, and support better outcomes for policing services across the UK. This is meaningful engineering work, building systems that directly support those who keep communities safe. Why This Role Stands Out • Play a key role in a high-impact public sector transformation programme • Help replace legacy infrastructure with a modern, scalable AWS-based platform • Work in a team embracing automation, cloud-native engineering, and AI-assisted development • Fully remote, collaborative environment with real technical ownership 🛠️ What You’ll Be Doing • Designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment workflows • Managing cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform / Ansible) • Building and operating systems in AWS environments • Working with Docker & Kubernetes to support containerised workloads • Supporting the migration from legacy mainframe services to a modern data platform What You’ll Bring • Strong experience as a DevOps / Platform Engineer / SRE • Hands-on experience across AWS and modern DevOps tooling • Exposure to working in modern engineering environments with technologies such as Java, Node, React, and Postgres (environmental exposure rather than deep specialism required) • Strong understanding of secure, cloud-native system design • Experience in public sector, policing, justice, or other security-sensitive environments is highly desirable What You’ll Need • Active SC Clearance or able to renew • Must be UK-based
