The wireless device engineering team is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to support mission-critical projects that contribute to the expansion of intelligent WIFI and cellular capabilities. This role will be part of a collaborative, agile engineering organization, requiring strong communication and problem-solving skills. Candidates should be resourceful, independent, and collaborative with a passion for working on the forefront of technology. RESPONSIBILITIES: β€’ MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The DevOps Lead Engineer will own the ideation, design, development, enhancement, and continuous improvement of our CI/CD Pipelines. β€’ Ideation and Design – 50% of time β€’ Evaluate current CI Pipelines β€’ Design new solutions using AWS functions β€’ Improve existing AWS environments using CloudFormation and Terraform β€’ Collaborate with development teams to enhance efficiencies β€’ Partner with architecture teams to ideate and design infrastructure and CI/CD improvements β€’ Gather technical requirements to document Features/Stories/High-Level Designs (HLDs) β€’ Development Work – 50% of time β€’ Enhance Entitlements Server Pipelines with automated end-to-end testing β€’ Develop AWS-based end-to-end designs β€’ Develop microservices using Python/Java on AWS β€’ Collaborate with automation teams to improve CI testing solutions β€’ Implement enhanced production monitoring β€’ Build CI/CD Pipelines for new projects β€’ Develop monitoring dashboards and KPIs β€’ Apply industry and AWS best practices for deployment, monitoring, and alerting QUALIFICATIONS: β€’ Independent, self-starting problem solver with a passion for DevOps solutions β€’ Strong design documentation skills β€’ Experience with Agile practices, including writing/prioritizing Epics, Features, and Stories β€’ Ability to lead feature grooming sessions β€’ Thought leadership in DevOps process improvement β€’ Experience deploying AWS services: EC2, S3, RDS, SQS, Lambda, ELB, Elastic Beanstalk, Auto Scaling, CloudFormation β€’ Proficient in code management using GitLab (or similar tools) β€’ Strong experience building CI/CD pipelines (GitLab Runner or Jenkins) β€’ Solid understanding of AWS VPCs and networking β€’ Strong communication and documentation skills β€’ Preference for coding automated pipelines and cloud solutions β€’ Experience integrating automated end-to-end testing into CI/CD pipelines β€’ Knowledge of cloud DevOps best practices β€’ Agile environment experience β€’ Mentorship mindset β€’ Deep understanding of CI/CD methodologies PREFERRED SKILLS: β€’ 3–7 years of DevOps experience β€’ Proficient with Docker and Kubernetes for containerized deployments β€’ Strong background in AWS cloud services and microservices architecture β€’ Coding experience in Python/Java; experience with RDB and/or MongoDB β€’ Experience integrating tools such as GitLab, JIRA, Confluence, Webex Teams, Slack, etc. β€’ Experience managing production releases and developing monitoring/alerting systems EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field PAY RANGE AND COMPENSATION PACKAGE: $65-$70 per hour EEO Statement: β€’ Eight Eleven Group provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, age, sex, citizenship, disability, genetic information, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital status, amnesty or status as a covered veteran in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws. \`\`\`
