DevOps Engineer – Contract Opportunity (Hybrid | Edinburgh)
We’re working with a leading global organisation seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to join their team on a 6-month contract in Edinburgh. This is an exciting opportunity to work on challenging, high-impact projects, driving innovation and continuous improvement within IT application CI/CD environments.
Contract Details:
• Location: Edinburgh (Hybrid – 2–3 days onsite)
• Contract Length: 6 Months, starting ASAP
• Day Rate: £450-£500 inside IR35 (TBC)
• Clearance: Must be eligible for SC clearance (lived in UK for last 5 years)
About the Role:
You will play a key role in managing, securing, and continuously improving the organisation’s IT application CI/CD processes with a strong focus on security. This hands-on role requires deep technical knowledge across DevOps tools and practices, with experience in troubleshooting, build, release, and automation.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage and optimise CI/CD pipelines and automation testing
• Drive software development and delivery lifecycles
• Implement and support DevOps and Agile best practices
• Oversee software delivery, build, and release processes
• Ensure security and operational excellence across CI/CD environments
Technical Skills Required:
• CI/CD automation (Jenkins, Terraform, Ansible, DevOps tools)
• Docker & Kubernetes (K8s)
• Version maintenance tools
• Grafana, Unix, and shell scripting
• Azure cloud environment
Desirable:
• Knowledge of Power Transmission and Distribution domain
