DevOps Engineer Client: Leading UK Bank Contract Type: 6-month contract – Inside IR35 Location: UK (Hybrid – London / Regional offices) Start: ASAP Role Overview Join the Data Platform DevOps team to build and run highly reliable CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure for the bank’s modern data estate (AWS + Airflow + Databricks). Key Responsibilities β€’ Design, build and maintain Infrastructure as Code using CloudFormation and AWS services β€’ Manage and scale Apache Airflow (MWAA) environments β€’ Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines (Git + Jenkins/GitHub Actions) β€’ Build serverless components with Lambda and other AWS services β€’ Manage Linux environments and write automation scripts in Bash β€’ Implement monitoring, logging, alerting and cost optimisation β€’ Support on-call rotation and incident resolution Essential Skills & Experience β€’ 5+ years as a DevOps/Platform Engineer β€’ Strong AWS experience + CloudFormation β€’ Production experience with Apache Airflow (MWAA) β€’ Lambda, Linux + Bash scripting β€’ CI/CD expertise (Git, Jenkins, GitHub Actions) β€’ IaC and GitOps practices Nice to Have β€’ Terraform β€’ Databricks or Spark platform experience β€’ Banking/regulatory environment
