Aureon Consulting is currently seeking DevOps candidates with a strong background in Left-Shift Security. This role involves integrating security practices early in the software development lifecycle (SDLC), automating infrastructure, and ensuring secure, scalable, and reliable deployments.
Key Responsibilities:
β’ Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines with integrated security checks (SAST, DAST, dependency scanning).
β’ Collaborate with development and security teams to embed security controls early in the SDLC.
β’ Automate infrastructure provisioning using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
β’ Monitor and improve system performance, availability, and security.
β’ Conduct threat modeling and risk assessments during the planning and design phases.
β’ Implement container security best practices (e.g., image scanning, runtime protection).
β’ Maintain and enhance observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).
β’ Stay current with emerging DevSecOps tools and practices.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
β’ Bachelorβs degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
β’ 3+ years of experience in DevOps or related roles.
β’ Strong experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI).
β’ Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python).
β’ Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
β’ Familiarity with security tools like SonarQube, Snyk, Checkmarx, or Aqua Security.
β’ Understanding of secure coding practices and compliance standards (e.g., OWASP, NIST).
Preferred Qualifications:
β’ Certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), or Certified DevSecOps Professional.
β’ Experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration.
β’ Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) security scanning tools (e.g., tfsec, Checkov).
β’ Cloud Development Kit (CDK) experience
β’ Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
This is a 12-Month contract position with potential of extension through Aureon Consulting.
