Role description
Primary skills for release engineering will be: artifactory, docker, EKS UDeploy

β’ Knowledge of development code like Java is nice to have.
β’ It would be good if they can handle some of the day-to-day activities and they want someone who can take on project work after they get up to speed on the team. Most of their job is 50/50 mix of DevOps work and support. The Support aspect involves initial investigation related to log checks and point the engineering team in the right direction.
β’ The support falls under the on-call for production issues or day to day issues. The digi-donor and other publicly facing applications are supported by this team. They are doing a migration to GitHUB currently as well as doing an AWS migration from concourse to Jenkins Core.
β’ Support the current development team. A lot of what they need for this candidate is robust critical thinking and solving problems.
β’ They need someone who can document on call issues. They want long term information for knowledge transfers from employee to employee.
β’ One of the issues they have is independent working.

β’ 3+ years of increasing responsibility in information technology services and support
β’ 3+ years of experience within a financial services organization
β’ 3+ years demonstrated experience managing high-severity application or process from outages to a successful resolution

β’ Excellent problem solving and debugging skills. Ability to break down a complex problem to identify root cause quickly
β’ Demonstrated ability with scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, Perl, or Python
β’ Administrative experience with Cloud server environments such as AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, and/or Openstack
β’ Experience with Kubernetes container environments
β’ Experienced in Agile software development practices and tools, such as Atlassian JIRA
β’ Experience with provisioning configuration management, and containerization solutions such as Terraform, Ansible, and Docker or similar technologies
β’ Demonstrated experience with common data stores, both relational and NoSQL, primarily Oracle and MongoDB
