Location: Boston, MA (Hybrid)
Duration: 6 months (renewable)
Job Overview
We are seeking a DevOps Engineer to support and modernize a cloud-based data platform used by a public-sector healthcare organization. This role focuses on CI/CD automation, cloud infrastructure, and data pipeline operations, ensuring reliable, secure, and scalable data workflows across environments.
Key Responsibilities
• Build, maintain, and support CI/CD pipelines for data platforms and applications
• Deploy and manage infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
• Support and monitor data pipelines and workflows (e.g., Apache Airflow, Informatica)
• Administer and optimize Snowflake and related cloud data services
• Troubleshoot pipeline failures, deployment issues, and performance bottlenecks
• Collaborate with data engineers, platform teams, and security teams to ensure reliable operations
• Implement DevOps and DevSecOps best practices across environments
• Support production systems with monitoring, alerting, and incident resolution
Required Skills & Experience
• Strong experience in DevOps / Cloud Engineering
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (GitLab, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.)
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred; Azure/GCP acceptable)
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred)
• Experience supporting data platforms or pipelines
• Familiarity with Apache Airflow or similar workflow orchestration tools
• Experience with Snowflake or cloud data warehouses
• Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, or similar)
• Experience with monitoring, logging, and troubleshooting production systems
Nice to Have
• Experience with Informatica, Databricks, or data integration tools
• Kubernetes or container orchestration experience
• Healthcare, public-sector, or regulated environment experience
• DevSecOps or security automation exposure
Education
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• Equivalent professional experience accepted
