Job Title: DevOps Engineer / Data Platform DevOps Engineer
Location: Boston, MA (Hybrid)
Duration: 6 months (renewable)
Job Overview
We are seeking a DevOps Engineer to support and modernize a cloud-based data platform used by a public-sector healthcare organization. This role focuses on CI/CD automation, cloud infrastructure, and data pipeline operations, ensuring reliable, secure, and scalable data workflows across environments.
Key Responsibilities
β’ Build, maintain, and support CI/CD pipelines for data platforms and applications
β’ Deploy and manage infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
β’ Support and monitor data pipelines and workflows (e.g., Apache Airflow, Informatica)
β’ Administer and optimize Snowflake and related cloud data services
β’ Troubleshoot pipeline failures, deployment issues, and performance bottlenecks
β’ Collaborate with data engineers, platform teams, and security teams to ensure reliable operations
β’ Implement DevOps and DevSecOps best practices across environments
β’ Support production systems with monitoring, alerting, and incident resolution
Required Skills & Experience
β’ Strong experience in DevOps / Cloud Engineering
β’ Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (GitLab, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.)
β’ Experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred; Azure/GCP acceptable)
β’ Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred)
β’ Experience supporting data platforms or pipelines
β’ Familiarity with Apache Airflow or similar workflow orchestration tools
β’ Experience with Snowflake or cloud data warehouses
β’ Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, or similar)
β’ Experience with monitoring, logging, and troubleshooting production systems
Nice to Have
β’ Experience with Informatica, Databricks, or data integration tools
β’ Kubernetes or container orchestration experience
β’ Healthcare, public-sector, or regulated environment experience
β’ DevSecOps or security automation exposure
Education
β’ Bachelorβs degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
β’ Equivalent professional experience accepted
