Role description
We are seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer for a 6-month contract to help clean up and modernize our infrastructure codebase. This role will focus on reviewing and updating a backlog of Terraform-related tickets and upgrading AWS SDK versions in our Node.js applications. Responsibilities: β€’ Review and resolve outstanding Terraform update tickets. β€’ Upgrade AWS SDK from version 2 to version 3 for Node.js applications. β€’ Ensure updated infrastructure code follows best practices and security guidelines. β€’ Collaborate with developers and infrastructure teams to test and validate changes. β€’ Document processes and updates for future maintainability. Required Skills & Experience: β€’ Strong experience with Terraform (v1.x+), including writing, refactoring, and troubleshooting infrastructure code. β€’ Proficiency in AWS SDK and experience upgrading from v2 to v3. β€’ Solid understanding of AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, API Gateway, etc.). β€’ Experience with Node.js application development and dependency management. β€’ Familiarity with Git-based workflows and CI/CD pipelines.
