Role description
Job Title: DevOps Engineer Location: Melbourne, FL - Onsite Duration: 12 months contract (possibility of extension) Local Candidates - Only W2 Must Have • CI/CD Pipeline • Containerized platforms using Docker, Kubernetes, or K3s • Cybersecurity best practices, including IAM, secrets management, vulnerability remediation, and system hardening • Hybrid cloud, edge, and micro data center infrastructure close • Linux and Windows • Networking, segmentation, firewall, VPN, and secure remote Position Summary: • The DevOps Engineer bridges the gap between development and operations by automating and streamlining processes. • This role involves managing CI/CD pipelines, ensuring system reliability, and collaborating with teams to improve software delivery. Responsibilities: • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate deployments. Monitor and troubleshoot system performance and reliability. • Collaborate with development and operations teams to enhance workflows. • Implement security measures and ensure compliance with standards. • Document processes and provide training to team members. Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field. Experience with DevOps tools like Jenkins, Docker, or Kubernetes. Strong scripting and automation skills. • Proficiency in cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP. Excellent problem solving and communication abilities. • Design, deploy, and support hybrid cloud, edge, and micro data center infrastructure • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for rapid, reliable software and platform delivery • Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code and automated configuration management • Administer and troubleshoot Linux and Windows environments • Deploy and support containerized platforms using Docker, Kubernetes, or K3s • Maintain networking, segmentation, firewall, VPN, and secure remote access capabilities for lab and infrastructure environments • Implement and enforce cybersecurity best practices, including IAM, secrets management, vulnerability remediation, and system hardening • Establish and maintain monitoring, logging, alerting, and operational dashboards • Support resilience of local infrastructure, including backup, recovery, failover, and patching • Collaborate with software, electrical, lab, cybersecurity, and operations teams to enable secure and efficient innovation workflows • Support integration of lab, engineering, telemetry, and OT-adjacent systems where required • Develop technical documentation including runbooks, SOPs, architecture diagrams, and support procedures
