DevOPs Engineer Remote 9 Months Contract to Start with plus possible Extension Pay Rate - $75 /hr. On W2 Job Title: Software Engineer – Developer Experience (Contract) Summary: We’re seeking a hands-on Software Engineer to join our growing Developer Experience team. This role focuses on Terraform, Kubernetes, and modern Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) solutions to support Samsung’s cloud initiatives and CI/CD automation. Responsibilities: β€’ Design, refactor, and manage scalable Terraform/Terragrunt configurations β€’ Build and maintain multi-cloud Kubernetes deployments (AWS, GCP, Azure) β€’ Implement GitOps workflows with GitHub Actions and Jenkins β€’ Automate infrastructure with Golang/Python and configuration tools (Ansible, Helm, Kustomize) β€’ Ensure secure, compliant deployments using Vault and cloud-native security controls Requirements: β€’ Strong experience with Kubernetes, Terraform, and IaC principles β€’ Proficiency in Golang or Python β€’ Solid understanding of CI/CD, GitOps, and Linux administration β€’ Experience with tools like Consul, Temporal/Cadence, and Ansible β€’ Excellent communication across distributed teams Skills and Competencies: Experience running Kubernetes workloads on AWS, GCP, and Azure. Experience with custom integrations such as Slack, bots, Jira, or other automation tools. Familiarity with GitOps and using GitHub Actions (including self-hosted runners). Strong understanding of CI/CD pipeline concepts (Jenkins preferred). Experience with security tools such as HashiCorp Vault and understanding of cloud security policies. Developer experience with Golang and Python (or similar programming languages). Strong hands-on experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) methodologies. Solid understanding of Linux Administration (Rocky, CentOS, RHEL, Ubuntu). Experience with cloud-init image automation and Linux software installation. Familiarity with Temporal (or Cadence) and HashiCorp Consul. Familiarity with configuration management tools (Ansible preferred). Excellent communication skills across global teams and time zones. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for complex cloud infrastructure challenges.
