Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to join our NGAN Operations team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting vCMTS and RPHY platform deployments nationwide, performing system and network maintenance, implementing changes, and ensuring operational stability in a 24x7 environment.
Responsibilities:
• Deploy and support vCMTS and RPHY platforms nationwide.
• Perform software installation, system and network maintenance, and upgrades.
• Troubleshoot and configure networks (Juniper, Arista, Cisco).
• Troubleshoot server hardware and software issues; perform hardware replacements.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts (Bash, Python).
• Collaborate with Product and Project Management to integrate and operationalize new products.
• Participate in on-call rotation, including weekends and holidays.
• Identify service-impacting trends and develop long-term solutions with development teams.
Required Skills & Experience:
• 3+ years of production operations experience in a 24x7 environment (rotational shift/on-call).
• Strong Unix/Linux administration skills.
• Scripting and automation experience (Bash, Python).
• Proven network troubleshooting and configuration skills (Juniper, Arista, Cisco).
• Proven server hardware/software troubleshooting skills.
• Familiarity with vCMTS and RPHY.
• Experience in system upgrades and incident mitigation.
Preferred Skills (Plus):
• Kubernetes, Jenkins, Ansible, Git.
• IT service monitoring experience.
• New product integration experience.
Schedule:
• Must be available to work weekends, holidays, and after-hours as part of an on-call rotation.
