DevSecOps Engineer for AWS/Azure

Akkodis is seeking DevSecOps Engineer for AWS/Azure for a Contract job with a client in Chandler, AZ - ( 3 days onsite in a week)- Hybrid (3 days on site in a Week). Ideally looking for applicants with a solid background in the financial services industry. Pay: $90-93/hour – All Inclusive; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors. Hiring Manager Notes: • DevSecOps for AWS or Azure • Needs someone who can fully understand security, architecture and has hands-on terraform experience. • Ability to manage pipelines, develop modules in AWS or Azure. • Hiring Manager is taking over other teams work and they need someone to come in with this background and understand how it's being done currently, and then by the end of May- be able to take in any requests for enhancements to the modules Job Summary Client is seeking a DevSecOps Engineer with strong AWS or Azure and Terraform expertise to support cloud infrastructure automation and security initiatives. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience designing secure cloud architectures, developing Terraform modules, and managing CI/CD pipelines in AWS/Azure environments. This role requires someone who can quickly understand the existing cloud architecture and security frameworks, support ongoing DevSecOps initiatives, and gradually take ownership of enhancement requests for Terraform modules and pipeline automation. Key Responsibilities • Design, implement, and maintain secure AWS/Azure infrastructure using Terraform. • Develop and maintain reusable Terraform modules aligned with enterprise security and architecture standards. • Manage and optimize CI/CD pipelines supporting infrastructure-as-code deployments. • Work closely with cloud architecture and security teams to ensure DevSecOps best practices are followed. • Analyze and understand the current infrastructure automation framework and existing deployment patterns. • Provide enhancements and improvements to Terraform modules and infrastructure pipelines. • Ensure infrastructure configurations follow security, compliance, and governance policies. • Support troubleshooting and resolution of infrastructure deployment issues. • Collaborate with engineering teams to onboard new infrastructure requests and enhancements. Required Skills & Experience • Strong experience with AWS Cloud Services (VPC, IAM, EC2, S3, Security, Networking) or Azure. • Hands-on expertise with Terraform including module development and infrastructure automation. • Experience implementing DevSecOps practices in cloud environments. • Experience managing CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab, Azure DevOps, or similar). • Understanding of cloud security architecture and compliance controls. • Experience supporting enterprise-scale cloud environments. • Ability to review existing infrastructure code and quickly understand architecture patterns. Preferred Qualifications • Experience working in financial services or regulated environments. • Familiarity with Infrastructure Security tools and DevSecOps frameworks. • Experience integrating security scanning tools in CI/CD pipelines. • Knowledge of container technologies (Docker/Kubernetes) is a plus.
