Lumark has an exciting job opportunity for a DevSecOps Engineer to join our team in support of the U.S. Military onsite in Fairfax, VA β this is an IMMEDIATE OPENING on an ACTIVE CONTRACT.
Duties
β’ Selects/Deploys/Maintains the set of Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) tools and processes used by the development and implementation teams and/or maintains the deployed software as a service (SaaS) product and ensures observability and security across the lifecycle.
β’ Provides top-level technical expertise, including performing in-depth and complex design and implementation of scalable self-service platforms.
β’ Helps ensure platforms are compatible and in compliance with the standards for open systems, cybersecurity, and DoD architecture.
β’ Identifies, assesses, and implements functional and technical requirements, self-service platforms, CI/CD Pipelines, and cloud monitoring and management tools.
β’ Interacts with program/project management to plan project schedules and technical direction.
β’ Develops platform/infrastructure design documents and technical white papers.
β’ Maintains and documents quality CI/CD pipeline standards and assure that such standards are being adhered to.
β’ Assesses and documents all configuration management (change control/release management) processes.
β’ Utilizes tools and techniques like risk assessment, threat modeling, and cybersecurity to detect and analyze threats and vulnerabilities.
β’ Works with Security Engineers to ensure all security threats are dealt with, and current STIGs and updates are applied to the system.
β’ Documents all system security implementation, operations and maintenance activities and update as necessary.
β’ Continuously evaluates and recommends new tools, technologies, and approaches to improve the platform and maintain a cutting-edge development, testing, and pre-production/production environments.
β’ Provides DevSecOps guidance to leadership.
Qualifications
β’ U.S. Citizenship
β’ Currently hold or have recently held at minimum a DoD SECRET Clearance. An active Top Secret clearance is preferred.
β’ Must currently reside in or near Fairfax, VA and be able to commute to the work location.
β’ CompTIA Security+ CE Certification or equivalent is required
β’ Bachelorβs degree in computer science or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, and work experience.
β’ Minimum 5 years of experience performing the functions on DoD programs/projects.
β’ Experience required with AWS Cloud,Β CI/CD technologies, and deploying and managing AWS Cloud services and their integrations with CI/CD tools.
β’ Ability to perform senior level design, implementation, testing, validation and verification, and monitoring of complex DoD platforms.
β’ Ability to analyze data and determine and document the best method of meeting customer requirements.
β’ Problem solving skills and ability to resolve technical issues independently when needed.
β’ Competency in configuring and managing CI/CD Pipelines using Jenkins, Maven, Bamboo CI, and other tools.
β’ Ability to work directly with the functional and technical subject matter experts and the customer in the design of platforms and clarification of requirements.
β’ Ability to program secure code, as defined by DoD guidance, and expert knowledge in Bash and Python scripting.
β’ Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes
β’ Strong knowledge of CloudFormation, AWS CDK, SDK, Serverless Application Model (SAM), and Terraform.
β’ AWS Solutions Architect Professional and/or DevOps Engineer Professional certification.
β’ Experience building self-service platforms for large-scale organizations
β’ Familiarity with other cloud platforms, such as Azure and Google GCP
