THIS JOB DESCRIPTION WAS CREATED BY AI, REVIEW BEFORE POSTING Position: Digital Experience Design Accessibility Analyst III Location:Β Remote (EST/ CST) Duration: Contract Job ID: 177204 Job Overview: The Digital User Experience (UX) Accessibility Analyst is part of a UX team dedicated to driving user-centered design for the betterment of customers and business groups. This role actively partners with inclusive cross-functional teams throughout the digital product lifecycle to ensure usability and accessibility are integrated, balancing human needs and mitigating risk. Responsibilities: β€’ Provide expert accessibility and usability feedback in design, UX/UI development, and testing. β€’ Engage in quality audits and assist with remediation roadmaps. β€’ Act as a subject matter expert on accessibility, staying ahead of trends in disability advocacy, universal design, and web standards. β€’ Collaborate with designers to ensure accessibility is integrated into product designs before development. β€’ Assist developers in addressing accessibility challenges by delivering specifications and functional prototypes. β€’ Work with product teams to conduct manual and automated reviews, diagnose issues, and recommend solutions. β€’ Facilitate collaboration and transparency across disciplines. β€’ Develop training and educational materials on accessibility. β€’ Evaluate third-party tools and assist in implementing new tools. β€’ Mentor and train Accessibility Analysts in best practices, systems, and processes. β€’ Provide guidance and direction for the overall accessibility program. β€’ Collaborate with user researchers and represent users internally. β€’ Prioritize and define approaches to understand user stories, guiding others in doing so. β€’ Peer-review annotations and recommendations from other analysts. Qualifications: β€’ Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and six (6) years of experience performing accessibility testing; or High School Diploma/GED and ten (10) years of related post-secondary education and/or experience in accessibility testing. β€’ Ability to collaborate productively both independently and with diverse teams. β€’ Proficiency in hand-coding HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, including inspecting code, analyzing violations, remediating rendered code, and retesting. β€’ Ability to recommend technical solutions for various technology stacks, such as mobile, React, single-page applications, .NET, etc. β€’ Experience mentoring others in methods and techniques for addressing accessibility barriers on web applications and mobile devices. β€’ Advanced soft skills and mastery of working with teams with varied levels of understanding of inclusive design or accessibility. β€’ Empathy for customers and the ability to understand their perspectives. β€’ Confidence using a range of assistive technologies, including JAWS, NVDA, iOS VoiceOver, Android Talkback, etc. β€’ Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills. β€’ Experience working in an agile environment. β€’ In-depth understanding of ADA standards, including edge cases.
