Job Title: Digital Plant Engineer (MES Automation)

Role Overview
We are seeking a Digital Plant Engineer to support the design and implementation of the digital architecture for a pharmaceutical manufacturing facility. This role sits at the intersection of automation, data systems, and business operations, driving seamless integration across plant systems while aligning with the overall digital strategy.
The ideal candidate will focus on defining data flows, enabling system connectivity, and supporting the development of a scalable and compliant digital plant environment in line with GMP and CSV standards.
Key Responsibilities
β’ Lead data flow mapping and system integration across plant systems such as DCS, MES, and data historians
β’ Bridge automation, data architecture, and business systems within the manufacturing environment
β’ Support deployment and integration of data infrastructure (e.g., Aveva PI, Logmate)
β’ Contribute to the development and execution of the digital plant strategy and roadmap
β’ Act as a representative for automation in cross-functional and digital transformation initiatives
β’ Collaborate with stakeholders to define digital use cases and technical solutions
β’ Support the development of automation standards and overall plant automation philosophy
β’ Provide regular updates on project progress, risks, and technical requirements to leadership
β’ Ensure all systems and solutions comply with GMP, CSV, and regulatory requirements
Required Qualifications
β’ Bachelorβs degree in Engineering or a related field
β’ 7+ years of experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing environments (API/bulk preferred)
β’ Strong hands-on experience with automation systems (DCS, DeltaV, batch processing)
β’ Experience with data architecture, system integration, and historians (Aveva PI preferred)
β’ Exposure to MES platforms such as Syncade, PAS-X, or PharmaSuite
β’ Experience supporting large-scale automation or digital transformation initiatives
β’ Strong understanding of GMP, CSV, and regulatory compliance requirements
β’ Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
