Role description
As the nationally recognized for clinical excellence, breaking new ground in research, training the next generation of healthcare leaders, and delivering science-driven, patient-centered care academic medical center and University Hospital, we are recruiting for seasoned leaders to provide expertise, create efficiencies, realize financial savings, take full advantage of System technology, and add value for our Clinicians and Associates. The Director of Data Governance will provide the leadership, vision, and direction for the Data Governance team within the Supply Chain Management. The candidate will lead a team focused on maintaining and cleansing mission critical data repositories including but not limited to item master, vendor master and contract data elements. The Director will develop the strategic vision for how supply chain data flows through IT systems like EMR or ERP and how the data is effectively leveraged by the health system’s end user community. The Director will partner with internal and external stakeholders to ensure accuracy and reliability of supply chain data and develop various workflows to create efficiencies for how the data is utilized, consistently maintained, and updated. The Director will: β€’ Have a broad understanding of a variety of analytical processes including but not limited to data governance, quality and measurement. β€’ Experience managing large data sets from multiple sources and implementing visualization capabilities leveraging SaaS ERP software platforms and other ancillary systems. β€’ Firm understanding of item master, vendor master, and contract data element maintenance. β€’ Working knowledge of technology infrastructure, application technologies and frameworks. β€’ Display a strong background in understanding Procure 2 Pay exception management related to supplier account activation, ship to location, price and unit of measure maintenance and data correction. β€’ Have a strong background in Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) and Application Programming Interface (API) management in a healthcare environment. β€’ Have experience developing processes for working with multiple supplier partners to normalize, cleanse, and upload data sets. β€’ Have sound knowledge of punch out and hosted catalog maintenance. β€’ Have experience in performance evaluation and change management principles. β€’ Have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a high attention to detail. β€’ Experience creating and managing a complex data management organization. β€’ Demonstrate the ability to build and mentor a high performing team that can adapt and pivot according to the Health system’s needs;
