Director of DevOps Compliance

Location: Charlotte, NC Salary: $69.00 USD Hourly - $74.00 USD Hourly Description: Software Engineer (Contingent Role) Location: Charlotte, NC Type: Contingent / Contract About the Role In this contingent assignment, you will provide technical leadership and consultative support on complex, large-scale software engineering initiatives. You will evaluate multi-layered engineering challenges, analyze long-term architectural considerations, and guide teams through technical decisions involving multiple business and technical factors. This role requires strong problem-solving abilities, the capacity to synthesize ambiguity, and the ability to collaborate strategically with client stakeholders. You will contribute to resolving high-impact engineering issues while ensuring alignment with organizational policies, procedures, and compliance standards. What You'll Do Provide consultation on complex engineering initiatives with broad organizational impact. Analyze and evaluate multi-faceted software engineering challenges involving technical, operational, and strategic factors. Develop recommendations and contribute to the resolution of sophisticated technical problems. Apply deep understanding of engineering functions, compliance requirements, and delivery standards to meet project objectives. Collaborate closely with cross-functional client teams to drive alignment and ensure successful execution. Required Skills & Experience Technical Skills: Python development (5+ years) API development and integration Backend REST API development Automation using Python Django framework FastAPI (not listed above but referenced-kept for accuracy) Ansible GitHub Kubernetes Network load balancing Apigee Additional Preferred Skills Strong understanding of network load-balancing technologies Hands-on API development experience Experience with Kubernetes or Red Hat OpenShift (preferred) Note: This is not a DevOps position.
