I am currently supporting an Arts Organisation in London in their search for an IT Director.
You will be responsible for strategic IT leadership, aligning technology with business goals, and engaging stakeholders to drive innovation. This role will implement best practice cybersecurity and risk management, oversee enterprise architecture and system optimisation, and maintain data governance and compliance.
A key aspect is evaluating and integrating emerging technologies to future-ready the infrastructure. This role also involves leading the IT team of 19 and managing budgets effectively.
The role is a newly created post for 6 months initially as they go through changes within the team.
Responsibilities:
β’ Strategic IT Leadership: Developing, planning and leading on implementing the organisation's long term IT strategy to align with business objectives and operational efficiency, prioritising where impact is greatest.
β’ Stakeholder Engagement and Change Management: Building strong relationships with internal stakeholders, ensuring that IT is at the heart of all technology innovation, influencing and planning future developments and improvements.
β’ Cybersecurity and Risk Management: Ensuring that best practice cybersecurity is implemented across their systems and infrastructure in compliance with industry standards to manage IT risk.
β’ Enterprise Architecture and Systems Optimisation: Taking overall responsibility for all aspects of the development and provision of IT services, platforms and infrastructure ensuring scalability, interoperability and optimisation.
Experience:
β’ Strategic IT Leadership: Proven ability to set and execute an IT vision that supports organisational goals, with a future readiness approach.
β’ Technical Proficiency: A solid background in and understanding of IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, and relevant systems, along with relevant professional qualifications.
β’ Innovation & Adaptability: Evaluating new technologies and quickly adjusting to changing needs. The ability to analyse complex technical and operational problems and devise effective solutions.
β’ Team & Project Management: The ability to build, inspire, and develop a high-performing IT team. This includes fostering a culture of high performance, continuous improvement and innovation.
β’ Communication & Collaboration: Experience of translating technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders and building strong internal relationships.
