What is a Quality Assurance & Testing Lead?
Responsibilities
The Quality Assurance & Testing Lead will be responsible for all quality assurance & testing as it pertains to the Business Continuity Disaster Recovery (BCP DR) Project to successfully deliver and execute testing for the project. DR BCP specific responsibilities may include:
β’ Comprehensive DR test plan covering all applications.
β’ RTM linking DR requirements β expected outcomes.
β’ Test scripts, including connectivity, workflow continuity, and integration tests.
β’ Validate that failover/failback sequences operate as designed.
β’ Document test results by capturing the screenshots with date and timestamp. Identify and document DR-specific defects, including latency, connectivity, and configuration variances between prod and DR environments. Document the steps to reproduce defects, associated test data, screenshots, and other relevant information.
β’ Daily defect logs, dashboards, and remediation recommendations.
β’ Final DR readiness certification package:
β’ Screenshots, logs, results, timelines, and auditorβready documentation.
What does it take to be a Quality Assurance & Testing Lead?
Required
β’ Ability to coordinate across IT teams, business analysts and product/business owner to gain an understanding of applications and the testing needs.
β’ Skilled in building and maintaining a comprehensive Requirement Traceability Matrix (RTM) that links requirements to validation outcomes.
β’ Proven ability to design effective test scenarios and test cases that fully cover key functional and DR-specific requirements.
β’ Adept at validating large, interconnected application environments with numerous upstream/downstream dependencies.
β’ Strong capability in developing structured, endβtoβend test plans aligned to DR testing objectives.
β’ Outstanding written/verbal communication skills
β’ Ability to multi-task and work independently as needed to meet quality deliverables.
β’ Proficiency with Jira for test management, defect tracking, and reporting.

β’ Gas and electric utility experience
β’ Experience on a disaster recovery related project
β’ Experience with cloud migration project.
