Data Analyst (Dispute Operations)
Location: Houston, TX onsite
Work Arrangement: Hybrid
Duration: 12-Month Contract
About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented Data Analyst to support a Dispute Operations team within a highly regulated financial services environment. This is not a traditional analytics role. The ideal candidate will be responsible for reviewing, validating, and processing dispute-related information across multiple systems while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely case handling.
This position is best suited for candidates with experience in data entry, operations, case processing, dispute operations, chargebacks, banking operations, fraud operations, or other back-office processing environments.
Key Responsibilities
• Review and process dispute-related information across multiple systems
• Accurately transfer and update case information between internal and external platforms
• Perform high-volume data entry and case processing activities
• Validate information for accuracy, completeness, and compliance
• Maintain detailed case notes and documentation
• Follow established procedures, job aids, and operational guidelines
• Collaborate closely with researchers and team members to resolve case-related issues
• Identify discrepancies and escalate issues when appropriate
• Support quality assurance and process improvement initiatives
• Maintain productivity and accuracy standards in a regulated environment.
Required Qualifications
• 2+ years of experience in data entry, operations, case processing, or administrative support
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and spreadsheets
• Strong attention to detail and data accuracy
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Ability to work independently while collaborating within a team environment
• Experience following SOPs, job aids, or process documentation
• Comfortable performing repetitive, detail-oriented operational tasks.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in dispute operations, chargebacks, fraud operations, card operations, or banking operations
• Experience working in financial services or other regulated industries
• Familiarity with Tableau dashboards or work queues
• Experience using Google Sheets or G Suite applications
• Background in quality review, compliance, auditing, or transaction processing
