Job Title: Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O) Administrator/Developer
Location: Onsite β Chattanooga, TN
Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire (6 months)
Position Summary
The Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O) Administrator/Developer plays a critical role within the IT Applications team by managing configuration, maintenance, and support of the Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O ecosystem. This position will directly support the enterprise through go-live and post-go-live stabilization, requiring a versatile, βjack-of-all-tradesβ skill set across administration, configuration, troubleshooting, and light development.
The role collaborates closely with Application Development, BI/Data teams, and third-party integration partners to maintain system stability, ensure accurate data flow, and deliver reliable business operations.
Key Responsibilities
System Administration & Configuration
β’ Manage, configure, and support all D365 F&O environments (Production, UAT, SIT, Gold).
β’ Perform configuration changes including system setup, module parameters, workflows, forms, and business rules.
β’ Support light development or enhancements aligned with business requirements.
β’ Collaborate cross-functionally to support integrations and development efforts.
Security, Compliance & Governance
β’ Define, maintain, and audit security roles, permissions, and user provisioning.
β’ Maintain segregation of duties (SoD) compliance and support internal audit processes.
β’ Manage entity-level access controls and maintain security documentation.
Data Management
β’ Support data migration, validation, and ongoing data quality efforts.
β’ Partner with BI and functional teams to ensure consistent and accurate data across systems.
β’ Troubleshoot data issues across integrated platforms.
Monitoring, Support & Troubleshooting
β’ Monitor system performance, proactively identifying instability or risks.
β’ Act as a primary point of contact for issue resolution, troubleshooting, and incident management.
β’ Work closely with functional users, IT teams, vendors, and project leaders to resolve issues.
β’ Provide essential support during go-live and post-go-live stabilization.
Documentation & Reporting
β’ Maintain accurate configuration documentation, security role mappings, and process flows.
β’ Support reporting requirements and prepare functional/technical documentation.
β’ Provide clear and consistent updates to IT leadership and project stakeholders.
Required Skills & Qualifications
β’ 3+ years of hands-on administration or configuration experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O.
β’ Strong understanding of D365 security, workflows, business rules, and environment management.
β’ Familiarity with Azure DevOps for tracking work items and coordinating deployments.
β’ Strong functional and technical troubleshooting abilities.
β’ Ability to work effectively with IT teams, business users, integration partners, and vendors.
β’ Excellent verbal, written, and documentation skills.
β’ Ability to work onsite at least 3 out of 5 days per week (5 days preferred during critical phases).
β’ Must work onsite at 400 Birmingham Hwy, Chattanooga, TN 37419.
Preferred Qualifications
β’ Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 F&O Apps Administrator Associate.
β’ Experience with Power Automate or other workflow automation tools.
β’ Experience supporting third-party integrations (API, EDI, middleware, etc.).
β’ Background in logistics, 3PL, transportation, or distribution environments.
β’ Experience collaborating with BI/data teams.
