Role description
Role: Dynamics Business Central Developer
Rate: £500 p/d – IR35 TBC
Location: Birmingham HQ – Remote first policy
Duration: 3 months initial
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Microsoft Dynamics 365 NAV Developer to join our client’s team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, optimising, and maintaining our clients ERP system to support business operations.
Experience Required:
• Proven experience as a developer with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or Microsoft Dynamics NAV (Navision).
• Prior experience with Navision 2009 is highly desirable
• Proficiency in AL (Application Language) and C/AL (Client/Server Application Language).
• Strong knowledge of ERP business processes, including finance, supply chain, and manufacturing.
• Experience with SQL Server and an understanding of database concepts related to Dynamics.
• Familiarity with web services, REST APIs, and other integration methods
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and customize extensions, reports, and integrations using AL (Application Language) for Dynamics 365 Business Central/NAV
• Maintain and troubleshoot legacy C/AL code within older versions of Navision (2018 or earlier).
• Design and implement integrations with other business systems using web services, APIs, and other relevant technologies.
• Provide technical support and resolve issues related to the ERP system, including debugging and performance tuning.
• Work with business analysts and end-users to gather requirements, provide technical guidance, and ensure successful project delivery.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, development standards, and user guides.
