Dynatrace Engineer US Remote 15+ months (20 hours per week, with potential extension into other needs) $75 to $80 per hour contract Job Description: Dynatrace Engineer We are seeking an experienced Dynatrace Expert to join our team on a part-time, remote contract basis. The ideal candidate will have advanced expertise in Dynatrace Query Language (DQL) and deep knowledge of the latest Dynatrace capabilities, including Gen 3 applications and Davis AI functionality. This role will focus on implementing best practices, optimizing observability, and ensuring reliable application monitoring across distributed and cloud-native environments. Key Responsibilities • Serve as the subject matter expert for Dynatrace observability platform. • Develop, optimize, and maintain DQL queries for complex monitoring and analysis. • Leverage Gen 3 Dynatrace applications including: • Dashboards & Workflows • Site Reliability Client • Services & Distributed Traces • New Problems app • Utilize Davis Co-Pilot AI for problem detection, remediation, and insight generation. • Manage installations and configurations • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with observability, reliability, and security best practices. • Provide expert-level consultation, documentation, and knowledge transfer as needed. Requirements • Proven experience as a Dynatrace Expert / Consultant / Engineer. • Advanced proficiency in DQL and Dynatrace observability concepts. • Hands-on expertise with Gen 3 apps (Dashboards, Workflows, Site Reliability Client, Services, Distributed Traces, Problems app). • Strong knowledge of Davis AI and its practical applications. • At least an Associate Certification - Pro Cert is preferred • Experience with cloud-native monitoring and deployments (Kubernetes, serverless, containerized environments). • Familiarity with automation tools (e.g., Ansible) for large-scale deployments. • Ability to work independently in a remote, part-time engagement while providing clear deliverables.
