Role description
Job Title: Dynatrace Engineer/Administrator Location: Chicago, IL Duration: Contract Job Overview: Dynatrace Engineer/Administrator monitors, configures, and optimizes application performance using the Dynatrace platform. Key responsibilities include implementing full-stack observability (APM, infrastructure, logs), performing root cause analysis (RCA), and collaborating with DevOps/SRE teams to enhance system reliability. Typical requirements include 2–5 years of experience with APM tools and cloud environments. Key Responsibilities and Roles Observability & Configuration: Set up Dynatrace SaaS/Managed environments, including agent deployment, tag management, synthetic monitoring, and log monitoring. Incident Management & RCA: Provide rapid diagnostics and root cause analysis for production incidents to reduce MTTR (Mean Time To Recovery). Performance Engineering: Optimize application performance, define alerting thresholds, and create dashboards for IT operations and stakeholders. Automation: Develop scripts (e.g., Python, PowerShell) and use APIs to automate monitoring onboardings and workflows. Collaboration: Work with DevOps, QA, and Development teams to ensure monitoring readiness during releases.
