Role description
Job Title: Economic & Financial Business Analyst β (Onsite, Washington DC)
Location: Washington, DC (Metro Accessible)
Work Model: 3 Days/Week Onsite (Day 1 Onsite Required)
Contract: 6 Months (Possible Extension)
Rate: $50/hr C2C
Work Authorization: Any (Must Provide Photo ID)
About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Economic & Financial Business Analyst to support client key initiatives. This role involves working closely with cross-functional stakeholders, capturing requirements, mapping processes, and ensuring business needs are met through structured analysis and deliverables.
Key Responsibilities
β’ Conduct requirements gathering sessions and lead AS-IS/TO-BE process discovery workshops.
β’ Develop Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), process maps, and business cases aligned with IMF standards.
β’ Facilitate collaboration among diverse stakeholder groups to capture, validate, and finalize requirements.
β’ Create process flows using Visio and coordinate documentation reviews with SMEs.
β’ Co-develop business cases incorporating findings, gap analyses, and recommendations.
β’ Utilize Azure DevOps for backlog management and requirements tracking.
β’ Deliver business analysis artifacts and reports following IMF project methodology.
Required Skills & Experience
β’ 8β10 years of Business Analysis experience, including at least 1β2 years in economic and financial data domain (financial services or international financial institutions preferred).
β’ Hands-on expertise with Visio and Azure DevOps β must have.
β’ Strong experience in creating artifacts (BRDs, process maps, business cases) and ability to share sample work (redacted).
β’ Excellent communication skills and ability to work with diverse, global teams.
β’ Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (SharePoint Online, Teams, Excel).
β’ Exposure to Power BI for data visualization (nice-to-have).
β’ Familiarity with GRC tools such as Archer or ServiceNow IRM (preferred).
Soft Skills
β’ Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
β’ Ability to work independently and within cross-functional teams.
β’ Detail-oriented, proactive, and collaborative approach to project delivery.
Education
β’ Bachelorβs or Masterβs degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
