Economic Analyst

Job Title: Economic & Financial Business Analyst – (Onsite, Washington DC) Location: Washington, DC (Metro Accessible) Work Model: 3 Days/Week Onsite (Day 1 Onsite Required) Contract: 6 Months (Possible Extension) Rate: $50/hr C2C Work Authorization: Any (Must Provide Photo ID) About the Role We are seeking a highly skilled Economic & Financial Business Analyst to support client key initiatives. This role involves working closely with cross-functional stakeholders, capturing requirements, mapping processes, and ensuring business needs are met through structured analysis and deliverables. Key Responsibilities • Conduct requirements gathering sessions and lead AS-IS/TO-BE process discovery workshops. • Develop Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), process maps, and business cases aligned with IMF standards. • Facilitate collaboration among diverse stakeholder groups to capture, validate, and finalize requirements. • Create process flows using Visio and coordinate documentation reviews with SMEs. • Co-develop business cases incorporating findings, gap analyses, and recommendations. • Utilize Azure DevOps for backlog management and requirements tracking. • Deliver business analysis artifacts and reports following IMF project methodology. Required Skills & Experience • 8–10 years of Business Analysis experience, including at least 1–2 years in economic and financial data domain (financial services or international financial institutions preferred). • Hands-on expertise with Visio and Azure DevOps – must have. • Strong experience in creating artifacts (BRDs, process maps, business cases) and ability to share sample work (redacted). • Excellent communication skills and ability to work with diverse, global teams. • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (SharePoint Online, Teams, Excel). • Exposure to Power BI for data visualization (nice-to-have). • Familiarity with GRC tools such as Archer or ServiceNow IRM (preferred). Education • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
