Economic Analyst

Job Title: Decision Support Administrator - Advanced (Job #3620) Location: Remote (Managed by FloridaCommerce) Key Responsibilities: • Support user community in utilizing business intelligence tools for querying databases and generating reports. • Assist in the design and development of reports, create user documentation, and troubleshoot query performance. • Monitor usage of OLAP tools, ensuring security, performance, and interoperability of systems. • Upgrade enterprise-wide query and reporting tools, monitor batch queries, and ensure data integrity. • Provide technical support and assist in process and data modeling, and architectural development methodologies. Core Competencies: • Economic Analysis & Labor Market Research: Apply economic theories and quantitative methods to analyze workforce trends and employment patterns. • Data Analytics & Statistical Modeling: Proficient in using statistical techniques for forecasting employment needs and evaluating program effectiveness. • Policy Evaluation & Impact Assessment: Assess the economic impact of workforce development programs. • Technical Communication & Reporting: Prepare clear reports and presentations, translating complex economic data for stakeholders. • Project Management & Collaboration: Manage research projects and collaborate with state agencies and educational institutions. Qualifications: • Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent experience. • Experience: Minimum of 7 years of IT experience, with at least 5 years of experience in business intelligence tools or economic/statistical analysis. Skills: • Proficiency in economic and statistical analysis software (R, SAS, Stata, Python). • Strong experience with database management and data visualization. • Technical writing and presentation skills.
