Role description
Job Title: EDI / HL7 Interface Developer Location: Remote Employment Type: Contract Note: Must have 2 certifications on EPIC Job Description We are seeking an experienced EDI/HL7 Interface Developer responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining electronic data interchange (EDI) and HL7 interfaces to support data exchange between healthcare systems, providers, payers, and third-party applications. Required Skills & Experience • 4+ years of experience developing and maintaining HL7 and/or EDI interfaces. • Proficiency with one or more interface engines (e.g., Mirth Connect, Rhapsody, Cloverleaf, Corepoint, Ensemble). • Strong understanding of HL7 v2.x, FHIR, and X12 EDI standards. • Experience with data transformation tools, XML, JSON, XPath, and XSLT. • Familiarity with SQL and relational databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL). • Hands-on experience with web services (SOAP/REST), API integration, and file-based data exchanges (FTP/SFTP/HTTPS). • Good understanding of HIPAA and healthcare interoperability standards. • Strong problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills. • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
