EDW Sr. Data Analyst (Federal Reporting)
Job Title: EDW Sr. Data Analyst (Federal Reporting)
Contract: W2β Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a W2 basis. We cannot accept candidates requiring sponsorship or those from C2C vendors.
Duration: 12 months with possible multi-year extension/s
Pay: $47 to $53 per hour USD.
Location: Remote β Local Springfield, IL candidates strongly preferred.
This is a telecommute position with some (<15%) required travel to Springfield, IL for onsite customer meetings.
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced Data Analyst to join our Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) federal reporting team. This role is responsible for analyzing healthcare-related data, developing reports, and ensuring data integrity. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the Medicaid program, data analysis, SQL, CMS federal reporting (CMS 64/21) and data warehousing best practices, with a focus on supporting healthcare-related data systems.
Key Responsibilities
β’ Analyze healthcare-related data to support business decision-making and CMS federal reporting including but not limited to CMS 64/21 reports.
β’ Develop and maintain reports and dashboards using SQL and other BI tools.
β’ Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and recommend technical solutions.
β’ Ensure data integrity and accuracy in all reports and analyses.
β’ Perform data profiling and validation to identify data anomalies.
β’ Document data processes and maintain technical documentation.
β’ Provide regular project updates to customers and maintain strong communication.
β’ Mentor junior team members and provide technical training as needed.
β’ Stay current with emerging technologies and industry best practices.
β’ Perform additional duties as required to support project and organizational goals.
Required Qualifications
β’ 5+ years of healthcare business analysis experience supporting business initiatives through data analysis, writing business requirements and user acceptance testing of various systems
β’ 5+ years of SQL development, including performance tuning.
β’ 3+ years of experience working with State Medicaid and CHIP agencies on CMS federal reporting or demonstrated ability to quickly acquire business domain knowledge.
β’ Strong communication skills and ability to work directly with clients.
β’ Bachelorβs or advanced degree in IT, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related STEM field.
β’ Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
β’ Strong team collaboration and adaptability.
Preferred Qualifications
β’ Experience in developing Adult/Child Core Measures, HEDIS, CHIPRA or similar quality metrics
β’ Experience with healthcare-related data systems.
β’ Experience with BI tools such as Tableau or Power BI. Familiarity with data warehousing best practices.
β’ Experience working in Agile environments.
