Role description
Title: EDI and SQL Support Analyst
Duration: 3-month Contract to hire
Location: Lake Oswego, OR - Hybrid (very flexible for the right candidate)
Pay Rate: $40-50hr
Shift/Openings: 8-5pm
Interview: 2 rounds, first-round virtual, second round in person
Must Haves
2+ years EDI experience in a healthcare setting, ability to troubleshoot EDI issues.
Advanced SQL experience, ability to write complex SQL queries and troubleshoot moderate to complex issues.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS), and familiarity with Visio or process flow tools.
Very strong communication skills, a go-getter attitude, and overall curiosity to learn and grow current skillsets.

EDI Clearinghouse workflow experience
Day-to-Day
• Analyze, implement, and resolve EDI workflow, SQL data, and other technical issues reported via internal support channels.
• Monitor and support production systems via alerts, dashboards, and daily reports
• Perform root cause analysis to identify and implement solutions that reduce recurring issues.
• Map and transform non-standard data to standard formats using ETL tools and custom logic.
• Monitor EDI processes and ensure timely resolution of internal support tickets.
• Perform database development tasks, including writing queries, stored procedures, and supporting database objects in Microsoft SQL Server.
• Participate in EDI implementations using X12 transaction sets (e.g., 837, 835, 270/271, 276/277) and other proprietary formats.
• Respond to internal inquiries regarding EDI and healthcare claims workflows, enrollment, and payment file processing.
• Collaborate with developers, analysts, and peers to improve application performance and reliability.
• Assist in documenting technical processes and maintaining operational runbooks and knowledge bases.
• Contribute to technology projects that enhance system stability and data accuracy.
This individual will be responsible for completing a large volume of tickets either creatively solving the root of the problem or escalating it to the right people if necessary.
This individual needs to be curious about create problem solving solutions and be willing to learn new skills.
