Electronic Data Interchange Analyst

EDI Analyst (Hybrid – Long Term Contract) Overview We are looking for an EDI Analyst to support a large, enterprise retail organization’s supply chain and vendor integration operations. This role is responsible for onboarding external partners into the EDI ecosystem, ensuring seamless data exchange, and troubleshooting integration issues across systems. This is a hands-on, high-impact role working at the intersection of data, systems, and business operations. Key Responsibilities • Onboard and integrate new vendors into the EDI environment • Configure, test, and validate EDI transactions (e.g., purchase orders, invoices, shipment notices) • Troubleshoot data flow and transaction issues between internal systems and external partners • Monitor EDI processes to ensure accuracy and continuity of operations • Manage and resolve tickets using tools such as JIRA or ServiceNow • Perform data validation and analysis using SQL • Support re-testing and updates for existing vendor connections • Document processes, workflows, and reporting requirements • Identify opportunities to improve and streamline onboarding and testing processes Required Qualifications • Experience working with EDI transactions and integrations • Hands-on experience with SQL (data querying and validation) • Experience onboarding vendors or supporting system integrations • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills • Experience with ticketing systems (e.g., JIRA, ServiceNow, or similar) • Ability to work cross-functionally with both technical teams and business stakeholders • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Preferred Qualifications • Experience in retail, supply chain, or logistics environments • Familiarity with EDI standards such as ANSI X12 or EDIFACT • Experience with EDI platforms (e.g., SPS Commerce, TrueCommerce, Sterling, etc.) • Exposure to process improvement or automation initiatives At Brooksource, relationships are the foundation of everything we do.
