Title: Facilities & Energy Analytical Engineer
Location: Boston, MA
Employment Type: Contract (12+ months expected)

About the role
The Facilities & Energy Analytical Engineer is a key member of the Global Engineering & Capital Project Management Department, supporting more than 2 million square feet of Class A life sciences manufacturing, R&D laboratory, office, and amenity space, primarily in the Boston area. This role leads the Global Engineering Building Analytics Program, delivers analytical insights to support capital and operational projects, and advances energy efficiency and decarbonization initiatives across a global portfolio.
Responsibilities
• Lead and manage the Global Engineering Building Analytics Program.
• Oversee relationships and performance of building analytics and automated fault detection vendors.
• Analyze enterprise-wide building systems performance data to identify opportunities for operational improvement, energy efficiency optimization, utility cost savings, and reliability enhancement.
• Provide data-driven insights to support project design, commissioning activities, and operational decision-making
• Assess and project the impact of energy efficiency and decarbonization projects on corporate emissions targets.
• Identify and pursue utility incentive opportunities, including managing the application and approval processes.
• Monitor and communicate location-specific energy efficiency measures, regulatory requirements, and decarbonization mandates.
Qualifications
• Demonstrated expertise in building analytics and automated fault detection platforms such as Clockwork and Cimetrics Analytika.
• Strong knowledge of greenhouse gas accounting protocols and applicable energy codes.
• Deep experience with building automation systems design, installation, and commissioning, including platforms such as Johnson Controls, Delta Controls, and Automated Logic.
• Solid understanding of building MEP systems and principles.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a data-driven mindset.
• Adaptability and responsiveness in a fast-changing environment.
• Excellent self-management skills with a proactive approach to identifying and driving improvement opportunities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical information clearly to diverse stakeholders.
• Familiarity with industry tools and platforms such as Power BI, CMMS, Procore, and Autodesk Construction Cloud.
Compensation (MA Pay Transparency):
• $70–$80/hr
• Final rate within the posted range depends on qualifications and interview outcomes.
