Role description
Location: Hybrid Take the next step in your career now, scroll down to read the full role description and make your application. Salary: Up to £40,000 (depending on experience) Take ownership of how energy data really works We’re looking for someone who wants more than just analysing data. This role is about owning it end-to-end — understanding where it comes from, working directly with it day-to-day, fixing issues at the root, and building better ways of managing it across the business. If you’ve worked with energy data and found yourself thinking “this could be done better”, this is your opportunity to make that happen. The role Energy data sits at the heart of what we do. You’ll take responsibility for how it is collected, processed, structured and used — across multiple systems, teams and data sources. This is a hands-on role, and a key part of it involves working directly with raw data — processing, checking and validating it to ensure it is accurate and usable. At times, this can be detailed and repetitive work — but it’s critical to everything we do, and you’ll have the opportunity to improve and streamline how it’s done. You’ll Take ownership of energy and generation data from multiple sources Process, clean and validate datasets, ensuring accuracy and completeness Identify and resolve data issues, inconsistencies and anomalies Improve how data is collected, structured and maintained Build and embed better processes across the organisation Work closely with different teams to ensure data is accurate and usable Use tools such as Excel and emerging AI capabilities to improve efficiency This is not a traditional data analyst role — you won’t just be reporting on data, you’ll be shaping how it works. Why this role is different Real ownership – you’ll be responsible for systems and processes, not just outputs Visible impact – your work directly improves how the business operates Opportunity to improve things – including reducing manual effort over time Variety – multiple data sources, systems and challenges Autonomy – trusted to take initiative and solve problems What we’re looking for You don’t need to tick every box, but you should have: Experience working with energy data in the UK market Strong Excel skills and confidence handling complex datasets Experience processing and working directly with raw data A natural ability to spot issues and question data A proactive mindset — someone who takes ownership and drives improvements The motivation and discipline to work independently and proactively collaborate across teams This Role Would Suit Someone Who Is currently an Energy Analyst or in a data-heavy energy role Is comfortable working directly with data day-to-day, not just analysing outputs Enjoys improving processes and making things more efficient Gets satisfaction from getting the detail right and building something better Is ready to step into a broader, more impactful position What we offer Alongside a competitive salary, we provide a benefits package designed to support your wellbeing and long-term security: Enhanced pension scheme with salary exchange, helping you build tax-efficient savings for the future Health cash plan – supporting everyday healthcare costs Group life assurance – providing peace of mind for you and your family NFU membership – access to a trusted national network and member benefits Why join us This is a great opportunity to step into a role where you can take ownership of energy data end-to-end — from processing and validation through to improving how it is managed across the business. If you’re looking for a role where you can get into the detail, fix problems, and make a real impact, we’d like to hear from you. You will be based at our office in Stoneleigh Park, Warwickshire, working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday. We support work-life balance and operate a hybrid working policy with a mixture of home and office working and access to mental health support. Our company values are employee focused; we believe in nurturing professionalism and resourcefulness in a united and inclusive work environment. xlqdzyr To apply please submit a cover letter and CV with your application.
