Position Title: Full Stack Software Engineer II (Golang/React)
Location: Remote
Position Status: Contract to Hire
Pay Rate: NA
Position Description
Are you a high-performing engineer who thrives on building scalable, production-ready services? We are seeking a Full Stack Software Engineer II to own the delivery of critical components within a sophisticated architectural ecosystem.
In this role, you will bridge the gap between backend efficiency and frontend excellence. Operating with high autonomy, you will design and implement services using Golang, develop modern interfaces with React, and manage containerized workloads via Kubernetes. You aren't just writing code; you are owning feature-level delivery from implementation through General Availability (GA), ensuring every service is performant, observable, and resilient. This is an ideal role for a mid-to-senior contributor who enjoys technical ownership and mentoring emerging talent within a cloud-native environment.
Core Responsibilities
• Full Stack Development: Design and implement robust backend services in Golang and develop dynamic frontend components using React (including OneApp-based applications).
• Cloud-Native Engineering: Deploy and manage containerized workloads using Docker and Kubernetes, ensuring seamless integration with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, XLR).
• End-to-End Ownership: Lead the delivery of assigned features from initial design through GA, maintaining accountability for functional requirements and post-launch optimization.
• Systems Design & Data Modeling: Implement scalable data models and schemas, making informed decisions on storage usage and data flow patterns.
• Reliability & Observability: Instrument services with advanced logging, metrics, and alerts. Participate in incident response and post-incident reviews to drive continuous improvement.
• Quality Engineering: Maintain high standards through automated unit, integration, and regression testing, while identifying and remediating stability risks.
• Collaborative Leadership: Provide technical guidance to junior engineers through code reviews and pairing, while contributing to architectural design artifacts and runbooks.
Required Skills & Education
• Experience: 5–7 years of professional software engineering experience in a high-scale environment.
• Backend Expertise: Advanced proficiency in Golang and a solid understanding of distributed systems and microservices architecture.
• Frontend Expertise: Strong experience with React and modern frontend state management.
• DevOps Mastery: Proven experience with Kubernetes, Docker, GitHub, and automated CI/CD workflows.
• Architecture: Ability to translate complex architectural designs into reliable, production-ready implementations independently.
• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent professional experience).
