Role Summary
We are looking for a highly experienced Kafka Engineer with 9+ years of experience in designing, building, and operating large-scale Apache Kafka platforms. The role involves working on real-time data streaming, ETL pipelines, and cloud-native Kafka deployments on AWS.
Key Responsibilities
• Design, implement, and manage Apache Kafka clusters (AWS MSK / Confluent)
• Build and maintain Kafka Connect pipelines for ETL and data integration
• Develop real-time stream processing using Kafka Streams
• Manage Schema Registry and ensure data compatibility and governance
• Monitor, tune, and optimize Kafka performance and reliability
• Ensure high availability, security, and fault tolerance of streaming systems
Required Skills
• 9+ years of experience in data engineering / streaming platforms
• Strong expertise in Apache Kafka, Kafka Connect, Kafka Streams
• Hands-on experience with AWS (MSK, EC2, S3, IAM)
• Experience with ETL pipelines and real-time data processing
• Knowledge of Schema Registry (Avro/Protobuf/JSON)
• Strong troubleshooting and production support skills
