Job Title: Engineering Analyst
Job Description
This engineering role supports engineering and manufacturing teams by transforming raw operational data into clear, actionable dashboards. The position focuses on helping teams better understand performance, identify issues on the production floor, improve decision-making, and enhance processes through data-driven insights.
Responsibilities
• Take raw data from engineering and manufacturing systems and organize it into usable formats.
• Structure, clean, and connect data from multiple sources so it can be used effectively for reporting and analysis.
• Use SQL to pull and transform data from internal systems and databases.
• Build interactive Power BI dashboards to track performance, trends, and key metrics for engineering and manufacturing operations.
• Develop usable data models that connect various data sources and support ongoing reporting needs.
• Work directly with engineering and operations teams to understand reporting requirements and translate them into practical dashboard solutions.
• Turn messy or unstructured data into clean, reliable datasets that teams can use to make informed decisions.
• Improve and, where possible, automate reporting processes to increase efficiency and reduce manual effort.
• Support manufacturing, engineering, and operations teams with insights derived from production, quality, and performance-related data.
Essential Skills
• Bachelor’s degree.
• 2–5 years of experience in business analysis, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Proven experience building dashboards using Power BI.
• Strong working knowledge of SQL for pulling and transforming data.
• Experience handling and organizing raw or unstructured data.
• Ability to connect multiple data sources and build usable data models.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Comfortable working directly with engineering and operations teams.
• Experience supporting manufacturing, engineering, or operations teams.
• Exposure to production, quality, or performance-related data.
• Experience improving or automating reporting processes.
• Proficiency with Excel for data analysis and reporting.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
• Experience in a large-scale manufacturing environment is beneficial.
• Background or familiarity with engineering and manufacturing processes.
• Ability to translate complex data concepts into clear, practical information for non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Work Environment
The role operates within a manufacturing setting focused on large-form assembly. You will work closely with engineering, manufacturing, and operations teams, using tools such as Power BI, SQL, and Excel to support data-driven decision-making on the production floor. The environment emphasizes collaboration, continuous improvement, and the use of operational data to enhance performance, quality, and efficiency.
