Role description
Job Title: Engineering Analyst II Location: Houston, TX (Hybrid – Monday, Tuesday, Thursday) Department: Data Governance (New Team) Supervisor of Nomenclature and Integration About the Role: Enbridge’s Data Governance team is seeking an Engineering Analyst II to support asset information management and data governance processes. This role focuses on the functional management of data, workflow mapping, and collaboration with multiple stakeholders to ensure accurate asset data throughout the lifecycle of pipelines and other assets. Key Responsibilities: β€’ Maintain and manage SharePoint lists, metrics, and documentation related to data governance. β€’ Perform technical writing and ensure process documents, procedure overviews, and standards are accurate and up-to-date. β€’ Collaborate with GIS, asset management, and engineering teams to review overlaps in specifications and standards. β€’ Map data flows across six internal teams and support workflow documentation. β€’ Support training on Enbridge’s data governance frameworks and asset information lifecycle. β€’ Extract and analyze data from Power BI and Excel to track metrics related to pipeline requests. β€’ Work with ERP work orders and GIS systems to maintain accurate asset data. β€’ Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including handling resistance or pushback regarding data requirements. Qualifications / Skills: β€’ Bachelor’s degree required. β€’ 2+ years’ experience in data governance, functional business analysis, or data management. β€’ Experience with workflow mapping, process documentation, and technical writing. β€’ Knowledge of oil & gas asset data (e.g., valve diameters, pipeline specifications) and related regulatory requirements is preferred. β€’ Prior experience with data governance tools (e.g., Collebra, Odonis) is a plus. β€’ Strong collaboration and communication skills; able to interact with multiple stakeholders effectively. β€’ Understanding of nomenclature and ability to manage associated procedures. β€’ Proficient in SharePoint, Excel, and Power BI. β€’ Functional, non-technical business analyst mindset; not focused on IT implementations or GIS-only roles.
