Primary Job Title:Engineering Consultant - Scheduler Alternate / Related Job Titles: • Engineering Scheduler Consultant • Project Scheduler III • Project Controls Scheduler • Design Engineering Scheduler • Primavera P6 Scheduler Location & Onsite Flexibility:Pomona, CA — HybridContract Details: • Position Type: Contract • Contract Duration: Approximately 12 months • Start: As Soon As Possible • Shift/Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM • Pay Rate: $66.15 - $76.29/hr Job Summary:The Engineering Consultant - Scheduler supports Design Engineering project execution by maintaining and analyzing complex schedules, performance metrics, and resource plans. This role partners closely with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver accurate reporting, performance insights, and schedule governance aligned with organizational objectives.Key Responsibilities: • Maintain the Design Engineering project portfolio schedule for the assigned region and/or engineering discipline. • Provide Design Engineering reporting on project scope, status, and assignments. • Coordinate project status updates using STT (Smart Turnaround Tool) with inputs from Excel, Access, and Power BI. • Facilitate change requests to re-baseline Design Engineering project schedules. • Create and manage Design Engineering metrics to support performance target delivery. • Facilitate and monitor resource planning (LRP, EPEF, histograms). • Analyze financial, operational, and customer performance metrics. • Develop and maintain performance dashboards and reports to increase visibility into business performance. • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure metrics align with business goals and objectives. • Monitor KPIs, identify improvement opportunities, and make data-driven recommendations. • Provide guidance on performance goals, action plans, and progress tracking. Skills & Qualifications:Required Skills & Experience: • Intermediate proficiency with Primavera P6, including filters, layouts, reporting, histograms, and schedule assessment. • Experience with WBS structures and activity logic that drives schedule dates. • Advanced Excel skills, including formulas and pivot tables, to organize and analyze large datasets. • Strong oral and written communication skills for cross-functional and executive-level collaboration. • 5 years of experience updating and reporting schedules in Primavera P6. • 7 years of experience preparing or supporting performance data analysis and reporting. Required Education: • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field. Preferred / Desired Skills: • Experience with design engineering and/or construction schedules. • Strong Project Controls background. • Proficiency in Access, SAP, and Power BI or similar visualization tools. • Certifications in Continuous Improvement or Lean Six Sigma.
