We are looking for an Engineering Data Analyst for a 12-Month contract based in Bristol (hybrid - 3 days onsite, 2 days remote working) on behalf of Rolls-Royce who develop cutting-edge technologies that deliver clean, safe and competitive solutions to meet the planetβs vital power needs.
As an Engineering Data Analyst, you will perform effective and efficient operation of established data supply chains to deliver quality assured data from source to end user, as part of the Data Solutions and Insights (DS&I) team - a global team of Data Analysts, Data Scientists, Data Engineers, Software Engineers and Digital Specialists who govern, manage and deliver compliant and trusted data to the business. We provide data insight using known and novel techniques and established data systems through development of new data tools and methods.
In this role, you will play a critical part in enabling the creation, translation, and utilization of data-driven insights that help Rolls-Royce, and our customers make better decisions. Your efforts will directly contribute to enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of the services we provide, ultimately benefiting both Rolls-Royce and its customers.
As an Engineering Data Analyst, your primary responsibilities will include:
Source customer and/or internal data through established data supply chains, ensuring high data quality through cleansing processes.
Transform data to ensure it can be properly loaded into enterprise systems, either manually or through automated loading capabilities.
Combine data from multiple sources, including customer systems, enterprise systems, and other internal functions, in various formats for reporting and analysis purposes.
Review and interpret in-service events, applying technical codification to enable advanced data analytics.
Produce routine data reports and analysis according to a predefined schedule, while also responding to ad-hoc data requests using analytics techniques and established capabilities.
Source data from Rolls-Royce enterprise systems for reporting and analysis.
Interface with business teams, external customers, and suppliers to ensure smooth operation of data supply chains.
Handle data in compliance with internal processes and regulatory requirements to maintain data governance standards.
Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying opportunities for process enhancement and supporting the wider team in implementing improvements.
What we require from an Engineering Data Analyst:
Qualified in a data related subject, or 2 yearsβ experience working in a relevant data or
forecasting related role.
Knowledge and consistent application of data standards.
Self-starter, capable of working independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on service delivery.
Product (Gas Turbine) technical and operational knowledge would be an advantage but is not essential
