Engineering Operations & PLM Analyst

Title: Engineering Operations & PLM Analyst Location: Fremont, CA Duration: 12+ months with possible extension Rate: $45 to $50/hr on W2 Job Description • We are seeking an individual with experience in engineering product development processes and best practices. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of enabling CAD and PLM efficiencies and automation, as well as a passion for standards, details, and consistent design/documentation methods. With a strong internal customer focus, this role will coordinate cross-functional teams of stakeholders and perform non-technical project management through to successful completion—on time and within budget. Responsibilities • Drive continuous improvement across all elements of the engineering development and release process, including tools, communication, and engineering practices. • Develop evaluation methods to assess process strengths and identify areas for improvement. • Collaborate cross-functionally to align requirements and functionality with stakeholders. • Create and maintain comprehensive process documentation. • Develop, present, and maintain effective training materials. • Present project plans to senior management, gain buy-in, and deliver results. • Manage cross-functional teams with diverse talents and responsibilities. Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 4 years of related experience; or Master’s degree with 2 years of related experience; or equivalent background. • Proven ability to analyze data, draw business-relevant conclusions, and apply data visualization techniques and tools. • Strong understanding and hands-on experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) principles, processes, and methodologies. • Advanced skills in Excel; additional proficiency with VBA, SQL, JMP, Qlik, Access, QuickBase, SAP, Matlab, or other programming languages is a plus. • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities. • Demonstrated leadership, influencing, negotiating, and conflict resolution skills. • Knowledge of both PLM and ERP processes required. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Preferred Experience • Background in Mechanical Engineering. • Experience creating on-model annotations for sheet metal, machined parts, weldments, and large assemblies in support of Model-Based Definition. • 5+ years of modeling experience in NX 10 or newer. • Product Configuration Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Field Service, and/or Logistics/Spares experience.
