Role description
β’ We are seeking a hands-on Senior Software Developer & Middleware Engineer for a contract to support the migration of our FileNet platform from on premise infrastructure to a colocation environment. This hybrid, development heavy role focuses on modernizing and refactoring Java and .NET applications that integrate with FileNet, leveraging deep software engineering expertise along with strong platform engineering, middleware administration, and site reliability engineering practices.
β’ The ideal candidate is a strong coder firstβexperienced in middleware and integration work rather than purely administration or infrastructureβwho can support integration heavy systems, ensure reliability, performance, and scalability across enterprise platforms, and drive operational excellence throughout the FileNet ecosystem.
Responsibilities:
β’ Works closely with customers, business analysts, and team members to understand business requirements that drive the analysis and design of quality technical solutions.
β’ These solutions must be aligned with business and IT strategies and comply with the organization's architectural standards. Involved in the full systems life cycle and is responsible for designing, coding, testing, implementing, maintaining and supporting application software that is delivered on time and within budget.
β’ Makes recommendations towards the development of new code or reuse of existing code. Responsibilities may also include participation in component and data architecture design, performance monitoring, product evaluation and buy versus build recommendations.
β’ Has experience in systems analysis, design and a solid understanding of development, quality assurance and integration methodologies.
