Role description
Job Title: ERP Business Analyst II
Location: Vacaville, CA
Contract Duration: 12+ MONTHS- with high probability of extension
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, Hybrid (3 days onsite minimum, up to 5 days onsite when required)
Position Summary:
The ERP Business Analyst II is responsible for managing the SAP Product and Quality Master Data lifecycle at the site level. This role oversees master data changes in the ERP (SAP) system, serving as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to train stakeholders and staff on standard and best practices in master data management.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders across Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Technology, Quality, and Finance to manage SAP production master data lifecycle activities including design, development, deployment, maintenance, optimization, auditing, and retirement.
Maintain a comprehensive understanding of data-related business processes and systems inside and outside the ERP landscape to ensure SAP data compliance and alignment.
Create, mature, maintain, and retire SAP Master Data Objects related to Production and Quality, including Material Masters, Recipes, Bills of Materials, Resources, Inspection Characteristics, Info Records, Inspection Plans, Sampling Schemes, COA Profiles, and Raw Material Specifications.
Analyze current practices to improve data quality and supply chain efficiency, recommend SAP data structure changes, and ensure network data alignment.
Support local and global SAP projects by participating in user acceptance testing and reviewing business requirements.
Develop, update, and improve written procedures, workflows, and training materials to enhance operational excellence.
Independently manage routine and non-routine data management tasks and support product tech transfers under guidance.
Prepare technical reports analyzing production and supply chain data trends for business stakeholders.
Ensure all activities comply with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards, regulations, and documentation requirements.
Maintain professional and technical knowledge through continuous learning and training.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years of GMP experience in biotech, pharmaceutical, or chemical manufacturing environments.
At least 5 years of experience creating and maintaining SAP ECC master data.
Skilled in managing validated computer-based systems.
Proficiency in organizing large datasets in spreadsheets and databases.
Ability to influence cross-functional leaders regarding supply planning and manufacturing strategies.
Strong communication and presentation skills for clear and concise stakeholder engagement.
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to support KPIs and perform root cause analysis.
Proficient with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and Business Intelligence tools for data extraction and reporting.
Strong continuous improvement mindset.
Preferred Skills:
Direct master data experience in SAP.
Experience with Quality Management data such as sampling plans and draw procedures.
