Role description
Responsibilities Kforce has a client in Boston, MA that is seeking an Environment Management Engineer to provide L1/L2 support for non-production environments, including Development and QA. This role focuses on environment stability, operational support, monitoring, and collaboration with application teams during testing and deployment activities. Responsibilities: β€’ Provide L1/L2 support for Development and QA environments β€’ Fulfill service requests such as access provisioning, application restarts, data refreshes, and batch job monitoring β€’ Execute runbook-based operational tasks and routine health checks β€’ Monitor dashboards and alerts, troubleshooting issues and escalating as needed β€’ Support application teams during testing cycles and deployment activities β€’ Participate in knowledge transfer, shadowing, and hands-on enablement β€’ Maintain accurate ticket updates, documentation, and operational records β€’ Work in scheduled shifts, including weekends or extended hours as required Requirements β€’ 2-5 years of experience in application, infrastructure, or environment support β€’ Basic to intermediate knowledge of Linux/Unix systems β€’ Understanding of incident, problem, and request management processes β€’ Willingness to learn middleware platforms, monitoring tools, and automation technologies β€’ Strong communication skills with clear documentation practices Nice To Have β€’ Experience with monitoring tools such as Splunk β€’ Basic scripting knowledge β€’ Prior support experience in QA or non-production environments The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future. We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law.
