Epic BI Reporting and Analytics Developer/Analyst for Custody

Summary
This consultant will provide end-to-end delivery of reporting and analytics solutions in the Epic Cogito Clarity Custody Health space, with a focus on Ambulatory, Inpatient, Regulatory/State-required filings, Quality, and related metrics.
The role requires consultant-level communication skills, the ability to coalesce related requests and provide solutions that satisfy multiple requirements, and adherence to Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) standards including requirements gathering, solution design, SME signoff, coding, testing/validation, UAT, and documentation.
What You Will Do
• Develop and deploy Custody-focused reports and dashboards
• Validate, modify, and document Radar automatic and custom SQL metrics
• Write stored procedures for clinical reporting requests for use in Cogito SQL templates
• Create Radar components from Cogito SQL reports and metric frameworks
• Update code and dashboard metrics based on new regulatory and operational requests
• Lead projects and facilitate meetings with operational leadership to gather requirements for new requests and enhancements
• Estimate timelines needed to complete projects and communicate updates to stakeholders
• Provide status updates, manage expectations, and communicate risks/issues to stakeholders inside and outside of analytics
• Direct regulatory agency monitors to reporting outputs and provide guidance on how to use them
• Follow SDLC standards for unit testing, peer reviews, SME validation, production migration, and publishing
• Support knowledge transfer, mentorship, SQL code reviews, and peer review of deliverables
You Will Be Successful If
• You have strong experience developing analytics solutions within the Epic Clarity Data Model environment
• You are comfortable working directly with operational clinical leaders, project teams, clinic staff, and other stakeholders
• You can adapt to changing workflows and communicate impacts to leadership effectively
• You have experience creating Epic Radar Dashboards using Cogito SQL, Reporting Workbench, SlicerDicer, or Metric Framework
• You are able to independently gather requirements, design solutions, and drive projects through completion
• You have strong communication skills and can clearly document status updates, risks, issues, and technical solutions
• You thrive in collaborative environments and can efficiently work with application builders and technical teams
What You Will Bring
• Minimum 3 years of Epic Clarity Data Model analytics development experience, including EpicCare Ambulatory and Inpatient (IP)
• 5+ years of SQL query and stored procedure development experience
• Strong experience creating stored procedures with Clarity data in a clinical setting
• Working knowledge of Epic tools including SlicerDicer, Cogito SQL, and Radar
• Experience with Epic Inpatient workflows including Admissions, Flowsheets, Discharge Medication Reconciliation, and Quality metrics
• Experience with Epic Ambulatory workflows including Visits, Consults, Orders, and Groupers
• Experience creating Business Intelligence outputs in a Custody/Jail setting
• Ability to mentor junior developers, perform SQL code reviews, and support peer review processes
• Strong understanding of SDLC processes including testing, validation, and production migrations
• Certification in Epic Clarity Data Model/Clinical or Financial (or legacy equivalents) preferred
