Role description
Position 1: Job Title: Epic Data & Reporting Analyst (Job ID: 2980613) Location: San Francisco, CA 94158 (100% Remote acceptable) Duration: 22 weeks contract w/ possibility of extension Notes: 100% Remote acceptable. Work hours: Mon - Fri, 8 hours a day between 07:00am – 05:00pm Pacific Time. Applicants must include Epic and/or Tableau certifications with submission. Qualifications: Needing a candidate who has experience working with UDS Tables, data analysis and mapping of data in Epic to associated industry codes that are used to capture patient populations; able to articulate processes that are used to investigate data elements and then provide us with the steps required within Epic to complete the mappings so the data is accurate. The ideal candidate will have knowledge and experience in Epic, reviewing data, identifying stopgaps, and then providing a related analysis for possible corrective actions and then be able to go into the system and complete said steps. Epic Certification: Certified in Epic Cogito, Radar, and/or Reporting Workbench. Additional certifications in Epic modules related to reporting, such as Clarity and Caboodle, can be beneficial. Experience with Epic Systems: Hands-on experience working with Epic’s Cogito suite, including Radar dashboards and Reporting Workbench. Proficiency in using Epic Clarity and Caboodle databases for comprehensive reporting. SQL and Data Management: Strong SQL skills for querying relational databases and creating complex reports. Experience with data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes. Report Development: Proven experience developing and maintaining reports and dashboards within Epic. Ability to translate clinical, business, and regulatory requirements into effective reporting solutions. Data Analysis: Strong analytical skills to interpret data and provide actionable insights. Knowledge of statistical analysis and data visualization tools. Healthcare Industry Experience: Understanding of healthcare workflows, clinical and administrative processes, and regulatory requirements. Experience working in a healthcare setting, preferably within a hospital or large healthcare system. Clinical and Operational Reporting: Knowledge of key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics used in healthcare. Ability to create reports that support clinical decision-making, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance. Regulatory Compliance: Familiarity with healthcare regulations (e.g., HIPAA, HITECH) and reporting requirements. Understanding of CMS (Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services) reporting requirements and other federal and state regulations. Quality Reporting: Experience with quality reporting programs such as Meaningful Use, MACRA, MIPS, and HEDIS. Ability to develop reports and dashboards to track and improve quality measures and patient outcomes. Accreditation and Certification Reporting: Knowledge of reporting requirements for accreditation bodies such as MIPS, HRSA (UDS & UDS+),NCQA, and others. Experience in preparing and submitting data for quality certifications and audits. Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve reporting issues. Ability to think critically and provide innovative solutions. Communication: Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with clinical, administrative, and regulatory staff. Description: Involves analysis of complex regulatory reporting using data to provide insight to decision makers. Identifies and interprets trends and patterns in datasets to locate influences. Develops forecasts, recommendations, and strategic / tactical plans based on business data and market knowledge. Works with business and / or clinical units to understand and prioritize data and information requirements. Creates specifications for the development of reporting and EHR tools based on business standards and required data elements. Optimizes the performance of enterprise business intelligence tools by defining data to filter and index that add value to the user. Technical leader with a high degree of knowledge in the overall field and recognized expertise in specific areas; problem-solving frequently requires analysis of unique issues / problems without precedent and / or structure. May manage programs that include formulating strategies and administering policies, processes, and resources, functions with a high degree of autonomy. The analyst’s primary responsibilities include data collection, metric validation, performance and health outcome measurement, benchmarking, stratification, and visual presentation of analytic results. Collaborate with key clinical, business and IT partners to identify analyses and reports needed to inform executive leadership’s strategic regulatory decisions and initiatives for the organization. Collaborate with clinical and IT leadership in the organization for performance improvement initiatives spanning the following domains: Primary Care, Specialty Care, Inpatient Care Transitions, and Resource Utilization Efficiency. The Analyst demonstrates knowledge of evidence based clinical processes of care related to timely preventive services for adults and children, chronic disease management, and reduction of preventable inpatient and ED visits. The Analyst will play a key role in ensuring that accurate and actionable data is reported to both internal and external stakeholders. Through analysis and collaboration with analytic and clinical teams, the Analyst will help to demonstrate company’s ability to improve population health clinical outcomes and healthcare utilization with regulatory submissions across multiple federal and government programs. Qualifications: Epic Clarity Data Model and/or Epic Radar and/or Epic Reporting Workbench with 3-5 years application reporting experience. In-depth knowledge of business intelligence functions, advanced analytics, industry standards and best practices. Advanced expertise in Epic clinical and administrative workflows.
