Role description
Job Title: Epic Cogito Reporting Lead Analyst Location: Cedar Rapids, IA 52402 (Remote) Duration: Contract - 12 months Job Description We are seeking an Epic Cogito Reporting Lead Analyst to serve as the subject matter expert for Epic’s analytics and reporting suite. The role focuses on SSIS-based ETL development, Epic Cogito reporting build across Report Workbench and Operational Reporting, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver reliable, production-grade reporting solutions that meet clinical and operational needs. Responsibilities: β€’ Serve as SME for Epic Cogito and provide daily support, resolving incidents within SLAs. β€’ Design, develop, and maintain SSIS packages for ETL between Epic and downstream systems. β€’ Build and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and views for reports and ad hoc analyses. β€’ Develop and maintain Cogito content including Report Workbench, operational dashboards, and catalog items. β€’ Monitor ETL pipeline health and SSIS job schedules, troubleshoot failures, and perform root cause analysis. β€’ Validate report outputs and perform data quality assurance on clinical and operational data. β€’ Translate stakeholder requirements into technical specifications and partner with clinical, operational, and technical teams. β€’ Coordinate with offshore support teams, maintain documentation, and ensure HIPAA and data governance compliance. Required Skills & Qualifications: β€’ 4+ years of Epic Cogito reporting and healthcare data management experience. β€’ Active Epic Cogito certification required and maintained during employment. β€’ 3–5+ years of SSIS/ETL development, including control flow, data flow, error handling, and deployment. β€’ Advanced SQL Server skills: complex queries, stored procedures, CTEs, indexing, and performance tuning. β€’ Experience with SQL Server Agent for job scheduling and production support, and SSMS/Visual Studio (SSDT) for SSIS. β€’ Healthcare industry experience with clinical and operational workflows and HIPAA compliance. Preferred Skills: β€’ Epic Clarity and/or Caboodle experience as ETL sources; understanding of healthcare data models. β€’ Caboodle and data warehousing concepts: fact/dimension modeling, ETL pipelines, and data architecture. β€’ SlicerDicer configuration and additional Epic Reporting certifications such as Clarity Data Model or Caboodle.
