Epic Cogito Reporting Analyst

Our client is looking to hire an Epic Cogito Reporting Lead Analyst for a 6-month, 100% Remote contract opportunity. Join a healthcare-focused team as an Epic Cogito Reporting Lead Analyst, serving as the subject matter expert for Epic’s analytics and reporting suite. You’ll design and maintain analytics that support clinical and operational decision-making—building and optimizing ETL processes with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and delivering hands-on Cogito reporting work through Report Workbench and Operational Reporting. Required Skills • Epic Cogito Reporting (4+ years), with deep, hands-on experience delivering Cogito analytics and reporting content • Active Epic Cogito Reporting certification (required) • SSIS / ETL Development (3–5+ years) including: • Designing and maintaining SSIS packages (control flow, data flow, error handling, and deployment) • Building and maintaining ETL pipelines between Epic (Clarity/Caboodle) and downstream systems • Advanced SQL Server (4+ years), including: • Complex queries, stored procedures, CTEs • Indexing and performance tuning • SQL Server Agent experience for job scheduling and production support • Healthcare industry experience, with a strong understanding of clinical and operational workflows (e.g., patient encounters, orders, results, scheduling) • Ability to work directly with Epic data structures (Clarity/Caboodle) and translate domain-specific requirements into technical reporting solutions • Experience ensuring appropriate handling of HIPAA, PHI, and data governance compliance • Strong collaboration skills across client stakeholders, Epic, and offshore support teams (including coordination and documentation) Nice to Have Skills • Epic Clarity and/or Caboodle (2+ years) • Data warehouse usage as ETL sources • Understanding of healthcare data models • Caboodle / Data Warehousing Concepts (2+ years) including: • Fact/dimension modeling • Data architecture and ETL pipeline concepts • Experience with additional Epic analytics tools (e.g., SlicerDicer) • Additional Epic Reporting certifications (e.g., Clarity Data Model, Caboodle) Preferred Education and Experience • Preferred: 4+ years of Epic reporting experience • Education: Not specified in the provided requirements Other Requirements • Location: 100% Remote • Contract Length: 12 months (52 weeks) • Interview Process: 1 round via Teams on camera • Background/Reference Check: Yes • Visa Sponsorship: No (will accept candidates with current visas; cannot sponsor) • Additional submission requirement: Need day/month of the candidate’s birthday to submit • Calls: Yes (Con Call) If you’re an Epic Cogito reporting expert ready to lead analytics and ETL work that truly impacts clinical and operational outcomes, apply now and let’s get your profile in front of the team.
