Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Epic Tapestry Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst to support health plan operations by developing, maintaining, and optimizing data reporting solutions within the Epic Tapestry module. This role focuses on leveraging Epic’s data tools and third-party BI platforms to deliver actionable insights, monitor performance, and drive decision-making related to claims, enrollment, eligibility, and utilization management. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of Epic Clarity and Caboodle data models, experience with SQL and data visualization tools, and a deep knowledge of managed care workflows. This is a Hybrid role with up to 25% travel when Epic is onsite. Work is in Pacific Time Zone and will be expected to be available PST hours. Timeline: Aug 25, 2025 – March 2027.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop, maintain, and optimize complex reports, dashboards, and analytics solutions using Epic’s reporting tools (Clarity, Caboodle, Radar, Reporting Workbench) and external BI platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
• Translate business and clinical requirements into scalable BI solutions that support operations across claims, member eligibility, benefits administration, authorizations, and capitation.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, Tapestry application analysts, and technical teams to understand reporting needs and deliver high-quality data solutions.
• Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and timely delivery of standard and ad hoc reporting requests.
• Perform data extraction, transformation, and analysis to support audits, regulatory reporting, and executive-level insights.
• Act as a subject matter expert in Epic Tapestry’s data structures, especially related to Clarity tables and reporting needs across Enrollment, Claims, UM, CRM, and Billing.
• Support system upgrades, testing, and validation of new or modified reports following Epic version upgrades or health plan operational changes.
• Provide education and support to end-users on the use of available reports and data tools.
• Participate in data governance and documentation efforts to ensure long-term sustainability of reporting solutions.
Qualifications:
Required:
• 3+ years of experience in healthcare analytics, preferably supporting managed care or health plan operations.
• Proficient with Epic Tapestry and certified (or proficiency-tested) in at least one Epic data-related module (Clarity, Caboodle, or Reporting Workbench).
• Strong SQL skills and experience working with large relational databases.
• Experience with BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or QlikView.
• Understanding of payer-side business operations (e.g., claims processing, benefits administration, capitation, eligibility).
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and analytical skills.
Preferred:
• Epic certifications in Tapestry modules (e.g., Tapestry Claims, Enrollment, UM, or CRM).
• Experience with ETL tools and data warehouse environments.
• Familiarity with CMS, HIPAA, and other healthcare regulatory reporting standards.
Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Healthcare Administration, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
