Role description
PRIMARY PURPOSE: The Epicor Data Analyst is responsible for designing and executing complex Business Activity Queries (BAQs) within Epicor, analyzing ERP data to support business initiatives such as data cleansing, reporting, and system integration. This role transforms raw data into actionable insights and prepares data sets in DMT formats for seamless updates to Epicor, ensuring data accuracy and supporting operational excellence across the organization. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: β€’ Develop, maintain and document Business Activity Queries (BAQs) within Epicor, leveraging deep understanding of Epicor table structures and relationships to create accurate, optimized queries with proper table joins. β€’ Analyze data extracted via BAQs for tasks such as data cleanup, reconciliation between Epicor and other systems, KPI/statistical reporting, and ad hoc business analysis. β€’ Format and document data outputs in Data Management Tool (DMT) templates for developer use in updating or migrating Epicor data. β€’ Collaborate with developers and stakeholders to ensure BAQ outputs meet business requirements and support operational needs. β€’ Support dashboards or trackers derived from BAQs to monitor key metrics and trends. β€’ Assist in automating recurring reporting and data import tasks using Epicor’s Task Scheduler and Business Process Management (BPM) tools. β€’ Validate data integrity after imports and updates, ensuring consistency across Epicor modules and external systems. β€’ Other duties as assigned by management. QUALIFICATIONS: β€’ Minimum 3 years’ experience working with Epicor ERP (preferably versions 10, 11, or Kinetic), with demonstrated expertise in building and managing BAQs and DMT imports. β€’ Strong knowledge of Epicor database schema and table relationships, able to design complex queries involving multiple joins and subqueries. Proficient in Epicor BAQ design tools and SQL concepts. β€’ Experience preparing data exports compliant with DMT template formats for successful import into Epicor. β€’ Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail for data quality, reconciliation, and KPI/statistical reporting. β€’ Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical users and document solutions effectively. β€’ Detail-oriented, critical thinker with excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities. β€’ Bachelor’s degree in Busin
