The Role at a Glance
As an ESG Data Analyst, you'll play a pivotal role in embedding ESG data into key business systems. Your work will inform investment strategies, shape policy, and enhance reporting capabilities for internal teams and external clients.
You'll collaborate across the business-working with Investments, Distribution, and Reporting teams-to prototype ESG metrics, build sophisticated self-service tools, and champion data quality in a tech-forward, agile environment.
Key Responsibilities
β’ Partner with internal stakeholders to understand ESG data needs and opportunities.
β’ Prototype ESG metrics using Python, SQL, and Excel, enabling accurate implementation by data engineers.
β’ Build and maintain web applications and dashboards to visualise ESG data using Flask, JavaScript, and Tableau.
β’ Support automation initiatives using internal AI tools.
β’ Develop expertise in ESG regulatory frameworks (SFDR, TCFD, UK SDR, ISSB).
β’ Improve and monitor data quality, driving resolution of data issues.
β’ Contribute to the development of robust, scalable, and user-friendly data tools.
What We're Looking For

β’ Committed to continuous learning and improvement.
Skills & Experience:
β’ Proficiency in SQL, Python, Pandas, and large-scale dataset analysis.
β’ Experience with Cloudera Data Platform or Snowflake (preferred).
β’ Skilled in building and deploying data-driven web apps using Flask, Git, Docker, HTML, JavaScript, and CSS.
β’ Strong foundation in data modelling, error handling, testing, and version control.
β’ Experience creating visualisations and dashboards, ideally with Tableau.
β’ Excellent communication skills, able to translate technical details for a range of audiences.
β’ Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Kanban or Scrum).
β’ Knowledge of asset management and ESG data providers (e.g., Sustainalytics, Bloomberg, ISS, MSCI).
Working Arrangements
This is a hybrid working opportunity, with a minimum of two days per week in our Coleman Street office in London. We offer a collaborative, flexible working environment that supports innovation and work-life balance.
