Job Type: Contract Job Category: IT Job Title: ETL Developer Location: Rosemont, IL (Onsite) Duration: 6 Months (Contract) Experience Required: 6–8 Years Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced ETL Developer with strong expertise in SQL Server–based data integration and data warehousing solutions. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience designing, developing, and optimizing high-performance batch ETL/ELT pipelines, along with a deep understanding of data warehousing concepts and dimensional data modeling. This is an onsite, contract role based in Rosemont, IL. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain batch ETL/ELT processes using SQL Server and SSIS, ensuring scalability, reliability, and high performance. Build and manage end-to-end data pipelines for ODS, staging, data warehouse, and data marts. Write, optimize, and maintain complex T-SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions for data processing and analytics. Implement and support data warehouse solutions using Star and Snowflake schemas for reporting and analytical applications. Apply large-scale data processing and query optimization techniques to improve performance and efficiency. Implement audit, balance, and control mechanisms to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and integrity. Collaborate with business analysts, data architects, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions. Ensure adherence to best practices, coding standards, and data governance guidelines. Troubleshoot and resolve ETL, data quality, and performance-related issues. Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or another quantitative field. 6–8 years of overall IT experience, with 3+ years focused on ETL and data warehousing development. 3+ years of experience developing batch ETL/ELT processes using SQL Server and SSIS. 3+ years of experience writing and optimizing SQL queries and stored procedures for data processing and analysis. 3+ years of experience designing and building complete data pipelines for ODS, staging, data warehouses, and data marts. 3+ years of experience implementing Data Warehouse solutions (Star Schema, Snowflake Schema). 3+ years of experience with large-scale data processing and T-SQL query optimization. 2+ years of experience implementing audit, balance, and control mechanisms in data solutions. Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, including 3NF and dimensional data models. Solid knowledge of data modeling techniques used in data warehousing projects.
